It’s Christmas Time!

One of the great things about working at Lake Road Vet Hospital is our Annual Awards Night and Christmas Party.

We recently had a fun night celebrating the hard work everyone has put in over the year.

We are very thankful to The Range Function Centre who hosted our event and to Nathan and Wagga Catering Service who served up a delicious menu.

We already have the Jim Dorling Award for Outstanding Vet and the Cathie Ward Award for Administration. This year we introduced the John Peverell Award for Leadership. Each section of the clinic is represented and has the opportunity to work towards being considered for one of the awards. This year perpetual trophies were introduced with individual medallions for each award winner.

After the prize giving there was plenty of time and music for those who loved to dance. Congratulations to all our award winners!

Hello Winston!

Baby Wombat Winston stole all our hearts when he came to us as a tiny joey. He was such a little darling and we all cared for him deeply which is why it was so important that he was given the opportunity to return to the wild in a structured and rehabilitated way.

Little Winston was handed over to Water Creek Animal Sanctuary where he was importantly buddied with another wombat joey the same age. He is now learning to be a big wombat, learning the skills like burrowing and eating natural foods that he will need when he is released.

In the meantime he is enjoying life with his buddy and other wombat friends and being well cared for. Thank you Water Creek Refuge!

Congratulations!

Congratulations Jacob on taking ownership of your first home. A big step. Well done!
