Knox came to the rescue recently when we needed an urgent blood transfusion. As you can see he bravely gave us the unit of blood that we needed and had no side effects.
He is one of our Blood Donor Heroes who we call on when an injured dog comes into the clinic and needs blood.
Knox belongs to Nurse Renelle and is a very loved member of her family. He is a Husky x Labrador with amazing eyes and a great personality. He knows some great tricks and is learning new ones all the time thanks to Renelle’s great training.
Blood donations are used for many conditions and are used more often than many people realise. Transfusions are used for motor vehicle injuries, difficult whelpings, sepsis, immune mediated or cancer related anaemic conditions, even eye injuries and new born puppy and kittens can be given transfusions.
For all lovers of Christmas Trees here is the way to go.
One of our Christmas loving staff couldn’t leave her tree behind and has adapted it for Easter.
A great idea and a fun idea!
Easter at the Clinic
Lots of bunnies were seen around the clinic last week as we all celebrated Easter.
Last week we celebrated Kyla’s birthday and this week we are able to share her cake with you.
We hope you had a great birthday, Kyla!
Happy Work Anniversary, Sonya!
It is now 5 years since you joined the Lake Road Vet Family and we are so glad you did!
Everyone at Lake Road Vet hopes you have a wonderful day on Tuesday when you celebrate this anniversary!
We’d all be lost without you! Happy day, Sonya!
We are so lucky to welcome, Dr Alex Pentecost, known to us as Dr Alex P.
Dr Alex P joins us from Northern Queensland.
We hope you enjoy working with us Dr Alex P and welcome to the Lake Road Vet Family!
Louise has been a fabulous mentor and we really appreciate her stepping into this role with our younger people.
She has really helped Brett with his development as a kennel hand. She spends the time to show him and guide him while he attempts new things.
Well done, Louise! We think you’re great!
