The Adventurous Nala!

What trouble has beautiful Nala gotten herself into? Beautiful Nala came to the clinic to see Dr Sarah this week after her mum came home and noticed that she had cut the top of her foot.

Nala’s mum was unsure how she had gotten herself into this situation but very promptly applied first aid and brought her into the clinic. Dr Sarah assessed Nala and was concerned due to the location of the laceration that a tendon or nerve may have also been lacerated.

Nala was placed under a general anaesthetic so that Dr Sarah could thoroughly examine her wound. Thankfully for Nala this was only a small penetrating laceration and no nerves or tendons had been severed. Dr Sarah clipped the wound, flushed and surgically prepared the wound. Then she the closed the laceration and provided Nala with some pain relief and antibiotics.

Beautiful Nala is now safely home with her mum, getting much needed recovery cuddles! We look forward to seeing Nala in the coming days to ensure her wound is healing well and she is as bright and happy as she normally is!
