Goodbye, Farewell!

It is a week of goodbyes this week as we say farewell to some of our Lake Road Family.

We are sadly farewelling Nurse Mel as she transitions from nurse to veterinarian.  Dr Mel has decided to take up a position at the Animal Referral Hospital in Canberra. We hope that Dr Mel’s move to Canberra goes well and that she enjoys her time at the ARH. She is going to be missed at Lake Rd Vet and her friends here wish her every success in the future. Good luck, Mel!

We have also said goodbye to Trainee Nurse Ange who is moving back to her home town on Phillip Island, Victoria. We will miss Ange’s happy smile around the clinic. We hope your move home goes well and know that we will miss you, Ange.

Our Casual Nurse, Zoe, will no longer be working with us. We wish you well, Zoe, and hope you enjoy your next opportunities.

Last but certainly not least we our Receptionist, Sharon, has decided to leave her full time position with us. We will miss you, Sharon, but are glad that you are still going to be with us on the weekend.

Desexing Month!

For the entire month we are offering 10% off all desexing AND Tomcat Thursdays! Tomcat Thursdays includes $99 castrations for male cats!

Dry July!

You’ve heard the expression ‘You booze, you lose’? Well I’ve taken that to a whole new level, and decided to go Dry this July. If you haven’t heard of Dry July, it’s a challenge to give up alcohol for the 31 days of July. But Dry July is much more than giving up alcohol…. It’s also to raise funds to help people affected by cancer and make their lives more comfortable.

We’ve set up a team: ‘Lake Road Vet’, and WE WANT YOU!

Let’s wake up on a Sunday morning with a clear head, feeling great having raised money for a worthy cause!

Simply follow this link to sign up and join the team: http://www.dryjuly.com/users/sign_up?team=lake-road-vet

We are looking forward to seeing your name appear in the team list!

Update on Montanna and Kyla!

Montanna and Kyla have returned from their exams in Tamworth. They have great news to share with everyone. They have passed their practicals and now have a few small units to finish and then they will have completed their Veterinary Nurse Courses.

They are excited and so are we. We can’t wait to have them as fully qualified nurses on our team.
